Where’s the trash can?

Bring back trash and memories from your trip.

There are no trash cans in Japanese cities.
There are no trash cans, yet the streets are surprisingly clean.

I learned this from my parents.

“If you have any garbage from your trip, take it home with you and your memories.”

I recently went to a local cherry blossom festival. There were no trash cans installed at the site.

There was a sign on a cherry tree.

“There are no trash cans at the festival site. Take your trash home with you.”
